Respect is non-negotiable

Know boundaries • Understand consent • Consequences are real

Zero tolerance
C

Consent: the rule

  • Consent must be clear, voluntary, and ongoing.
  • If it's not an enthusiastic YES, it's a NO.
  • Pressure, silence, intoxication, or "she didn't stop me" is not consent.
  • Either person can stop anytime.
B

Know the boundaries

  • Sexual jokes/remarks or sexually coloured language
  • Staring, stalking, following, repeated DMs/calls after being told to stop
  • Touching, blocking someone's way, grabbing, or "accidental" contact
  • Sharing private photos/chats/screenshots/recordings without consent
  • Coercion, threats, or misuse of power
M

Myths that get people into trouble

  • "It was just fun/flirting." If it's unwelcome, it's harassment.
  • "We were friends/in a relationship." Consent is required every time.
  • "She didn't complain immediately." Delay doesn't cancel harm.
  • "Nothing will happen." Complaints are investigated and action is taken.
!

Consequences are real

  • Written warning / undertaking
  • No-contact orders; restrictions from hostel/class/lab/campus areas
  • Loss of hostel/campus privileges; suspension/termination (as per Institute rules)
  • Impact on internships, placements, recommendations, and future career
  • Police action where applicable under law
If someone says STOP, you STOP.   If unsure, ASK.   If rejected, RESPECT it.
